Yoga With Charlotte

For Charlotte, yoga is a path of growth, and of connecting to our Self within. It is about opening the heart, being kind and compassionate to ourselves and others, and ultimately healing ourselves on all levels.

She believes in a non-competitive practice and works to build strength, grace and healing through yoga.

Charlotte was born into a household of yoga practice and spiritual philosophy. Her life took many unexpected turns and it was rediscovering a discipline of yoga that brought her back to herself. She began to more frequently practice Hatha Yoga in 2004, having dipped in and out of the practice of Asanas since she was a teenager. It was in 2007 Charlotte discovered the style of Yoga called Vinyasa Yoga, which resulted in her body, mind and spirit experiencing a deeper state of inner connection and balance. She also tried other styles of Yoga such as Ashtanga, Iyengar, Scaravelli, Viniyoga, Yin Yoga among others. In 2009 she completed her 200 hour teacher training in Vinyasa flow Yoga and during this training she discovered more of the healing power a physical Yoga practice can yield.

Since then Charlotte has attended Anusara Yoga workshops with Sianna Sherman and completed two 30 hour teacher training intensives with Max Strom, a teacher who, for Charlotte, embodies the essence of a spiritual Yoga practice and has inspired her even more to teach with compassion, understanding, and an intention for people to experience a deeper state of healing and sense of well-being as a result of their practice. She has also completed the Triyoga Hot Yoga teacher training 60 hours.

Charlotte feels that whatever path we walk, we can only really move forward through a process of inner healing and letting go of fear, changing ourselves for the better, and becoming firmly connected to our Self within.

Yoga is one way of doing this, and Charlotte's aim is to help her students to achieve this for themselves.

Charlotte also offers sports massage therapy. She followed this route after experiencing debilitating knee injuries in a gym, and benefiting from sports massage herself to a huge extent. She hopes to help others, where possible, lead a more pain free life.
